Raveena Tandon Pairs Opposite Sanjay Dutt

She has been missing from Bollywood for quite some time now, but soon the “mast-mast” girl Raveena Tandon will make a comeback on the big screen in a psychological thriller opposite Sanjay Dutt.
“Helloooooand goodmorning!! Signed an interesting film yesterday a psychological thriller, to be shot in July, called Alert! Sanjay Dutt, Anupam k (sic),” Raveena posted on her Twitter page on Tuesday.
Raveena and Sanjay had teamed opposite each other in 1994 film Aatish and the 36-year-old actress is excited to share screen space with him again.
“Will be good fun to work with Sanju again!! Just totally adore him! Directed by this young ad filmmaker from the south, Santosh! Love working with the new lot directors, bring a fresh approach, ideas to the table (sic),” she added.
Raveena will also be seen in Amitabh Bachchan starrer Bbuddah… Hoga Terra Baap, which will release on July 1.

Asin Equals Kareena’s Record Of 100 Crores

Till 20 days back Kareena Kapoor was the only actress in the history of Indian cinema to have two films to her name that collected over 100 crores - 3 Idiots and Golmaal 3. Now Asin too has made it to the elite list with first Ghajini and now Ready repeating this feat.
“Only six films so far have crossed the 100 crores mark - 3 Idiots (202 crores), Endhiran/Robot (estimated at over 150 crores), Dabangg (140 crores), Ghajini (115 crores), Golmaal 3 (108 crores) and now Ready (110 crores and still counting)”, informs a trade source, “This makes it two films for Kareena Kapoor, two for Asin and one each for Aishwarya Rai and Sonakshi Sinha that have crossed this major milestone.”
While Ready is all set to cross the collections of Golmaal 3, it is also obvious that Asin would now manage to topple her own Ghajini record and go further up in the list.
“What further makes this remarkable for Asin is the fact that she has managed this super feat of a 100 crores double bill in her first three films itself. Perhaps this also wipes away all the deficit that came from the debacle of her second film London Dreams”, quips an industry observer.
Incidentally, both Asin and Kareena started their career around the same time. While Kareena was first seen in Refugee (2000), Asin made her debut with a Malayalam flick in 2001. However, it was a late entry for her in Bollywood with Aamir Khan roping her in for Ghajini. Call it a coincidence but Aamir has been the driver of the success story of both Kareena and Asin with 3 Idiots and Ghajini respectively.
Currently shooting for Housefull 2 in London, Asin was ecstatic when informed about the feat of Ready in India. “I wanted to wait for the best films to come my way and thankfully Ready came calling. How do I feel about this being the second film of mine to cross the 100 crores mark? Well, of course I am ecstatic, who won’t be”, she says.
Well, seems like Kareena and Asin would have a lot of catching up to do over next few weeks. Reason being that Asin’s Tamil blockbuster Kaavalan (2001) is now being remade with Kareena Kapoor and Salman Khan as Bodyguard. With the couple arriving fresh out of the blockbuster success of Ready and Golmaal 3, one can well expect Kareena to be going one-up when it comes to 100 crores grossers. One wonders what Asin is planning next to ensure that she catches up on the race soon.

Jacqueline Fernandez - The Murder 2 Hottie To Dub In Her Own Voice

For her upcoming release MURDER 2, the ex-Miss Sri Lankan Jacqueline Fernandez would now also be dubbing in her own voice, hence bringing further spice to the proceedings. This has surprised a few since she is a relatively new entrant in the industry and is still getting an opportunity to enter the studio room for her dubbing. Moreover Bhatts are known for getting professional help when it comes to dubbing the voice of their actors so as to enhance the impact of the scenes.
“Especially for newcomers they are extra careful as they feel that it is too much to ask from them when it comes to emoting, looking as well as speaking right. To ensure that the characterization comes out more effectively, they are of the belief that it is imperative to have the right voice for the right face and body,” informs a senior unit member.
However Jackie’s preparation for her dubbing has managed to convince them enough to retain her voice. This is despite of the fact that this is an alien language for her and she has started learning Hindi only during the last couple of years.
