The film was under production since 2009. It was shelved for some reasons which includes financial problems. It was slated for a September 2010 release, but nothing materialized out well. Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M. Karunanidhi lauched the audio of the film on 18 September 2010, which was received by actor Vikram and the film is expected to be released by 12 November 2010.
