Recently there were reports that Madarasapattinam director Vijay is likely to sign Kannada star Divya Spandana to play a prominent role in his venture produced by Mohan Natarajan. But the actress has completely denied the news.

"About the Tamil film with Vikram I have been reading about, honestly, its not true. I haven't heard from anybody in the first place," Divya Spandana tweeted.

Director Vijay's regular team of Nirav Shah (camera), G.V. Prakash (music), Selva (art) and Anthony (editing) will join him in this project. Anushka and Amala Paul will be the female leads. According to sources, the film is loosely based on the Hollywood flick I am Sam, where a mentally retarded man fights for the custody of his only son. Reportedly director Vijay's nephew will play the role of Vikram's son in the Tamil version.
