Shocking visuals on Tuesday morning showed a group of pilgrims sleeping near Mumbai's Siddhivinayak temple being beaten up.
The attack, caught on camera, shows pilgrims, who were sleeping at a ground close to the temple, being beaten with lathis.
Unconfirmed reports attributed the attack to Raj Thackeray's supporters. However, Thackeray's party, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has denied any involvement in the incident.
Analysts say the reason the MNS remains a suspect despite its denials is because it is known to orchestrate these attacks and invite cameramen to film them.
