Now you can get to bite Aishwarya!

Yes, it is true, now you can take a bite of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Ironically, this is name of the new grown and an altogether different kind of guava. It was named after Aishwarya considering its taste and looks. Padmashree horticulturist Haji Kaleemullah who cultivated the new variety of guava claims that this guava is very sweeter and pulpier.

"The new variety of guava is very different in taste, smell and look from the traditional and normal varieties grown in the country," Kaleemullah was quoted as saying.

"It took almost eight years to develop this unique variety of guava and no chemical fertiliser or pesticide was used in developing the same," he adds.

Kaleemullah claims that no artificial fertilizer has been used in the new fruit and to keep the product totally organic, neem oil is used. "All measures were taken to ensure that the product is free from any possible side effect which chemical fertiliser or pesticide may have on fruits," he has said.

This is not the first time that Haji has named any fruit after a celebrity. In the past too, he has named a special kind of mango after ace cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.
